Properties of magnetic lines of forces

The magnetic lines have the follwing properties :

  • They originate from north pole and end at the south pole ( inside magnet thet drawn from south to north pole ).
  • They originate and terminate normally from the surface of the pole of a magnet.
  • They do not intersect eachother.
  • The strenght of a magnetic field in a region depends on the concentration of the magnetic lines in that region.

Near the poles of a bar magnet , these lines are closer to one other.

It shows that magnetic field is more strong at the pole than at other poles.
